PRESS RELEASE – 18 August 2022 TAKE NOTE On 16 August 2022 the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (“ICAEW”) removed Deloitte llp AND all its partners/members from the Register of Statutory Auditors. Following decades of breaches of Companies Act 2006 by Deloitte llp and failure to notify ICAEW of changes in members/partners, and ICAEW by its own admitted gross negligence of multiple breaches of the 2016 Delegation Agreement with The Financial Reporting Council Limited (see QB-2021-003636), has ICAEW finally administered the ultimate sanction against Deloitte llp – removal from the Register of persons/firms eligible to conduct Statutory Audits?
